Transparency is how I work

Yann1 min readLire en français

I have no marketing team, only my word. What I commit to making public, and why.

People often say you need to hide your weaknesses to sell. When you build a service on your own, I think it is the opposite: trust is earned by showing what really happens.

What I commit to making public

  • My outages: NorminUp will have its own status page, just like the one it offers you. When something breaks on my side, it will show there.
  • My roadmap: what is in progress, what comes next and what will wait will be public.
  • What each plan includes: the limits of the free and paid plans will be written down.

Why it is good for you too

It is the same idea as a status page. Your users know no service is perfect. What annoys them is silence during an outage. Saying “I know, here is where I stand” is often all they expect.

NorminUp is built for that: warning you when a service goes down, and helping you warn your users in turn.
