Cookies and local storage
NorminUp only stores what the site needs to work: no advertising, and a cookieless audience measurement that does not follow you from one day to the next (exempt from consent under the conditions of the French CNIL). That is why no banner asks for your consent.

The browser’s local storage
A few settings stay in your browser and are never sent to a third party:
- the language and theme you chose;
- how lists are displayed (grid or list, filters);
- the selected organization and the progress of the getting-started wizard;
- the number of failed sign-in attempts, to show the anti-bot check;
- on the public site, where your visit comes from (ad campaign or referring site), for as long as the tab stays open (
sessionStorage), to count sign-ups per campaign.
On status pages
The customer who publishes a status page can measure its visits with Google Analytics. They are responsible for it; NorminUp asks visitors for their consent on the customer’s behalf, with a banner in the customer’s name: nothing loads before “Accept”, “Refuse” is offered the same way, and the choice, kept for 6 months in the browser, can be changed at any time with the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page. Withdrawing consent deletes Google’s cookies.
A customer can also add their own JavaScript to a page served on their domain. NorminUp does not control that code: the customer alone is responsible for it, their visitors’ consent included.
Deleting them
You can clear cookies and local storage from your browser’s settings. Clearing auth_token signs you out, nothing more.
